Southport can justify its claim to be one of the country's leading event destinations and plays host to the Southport International Jazz Weekend, Southport Food & Drink Festival, Southport Summer Classics, Woodvale International Rally, Southport Flower Show, Southport Air Show, British Musical Fireworks Championships, Southport Comedy Week plus Southport Christmas Lights Switch-On to name but a few. Over recent years, Southport has secured millions of pounds worth of new investment, and includes The Vincent, Southport's first boutique hotel, with a £10 million investment
