  Education at the Eco Centre
The Southport Eco Centre has an impressive state-of-the-art classroom with a full time teacher on hand to deliver inspiring, hands-on environmental education sessions. A wide range of eco-friendly subjects are on offer, including renewable energy, climate change and coastal management. All the visits are linked to National Curriculum attainment targets and QCA units across a range of subjects including Science, Geography and Citizenship. New days are always being developed and lesson plans can be written to suit needs of particular groups.

For up-to-date information on the education provision at the Southport Eco Centre, including charges, please visit www.sefton.gov.uk/ecocentreeducation.

The bottom left image is the Eco Centre mascot, Sydney the Eco skating squirrel. He was designed by Beth Anderson, Age 10 from Linaker Primary School. A competition was held for children in Sefton schools to design a character to guide people round the Eco Centre.
