By road
The Eco Centre can be reached from the A565 coastal road or through Southport town centre following the signs for the Esplanade Park and Ride. Our postcode is PR8 1RX.

There is only a coach dropping off point for pre-booked schools. All other coach parties are to disembark at one of the town's designated drop-off points shown below.

Education at the Eco Centre
Pre-booked school coach parties can pull up at the School Entrance (Gate B) located at the front of the centre (accessible via the bus lay-by) to drop students off. If the coach is booked for the full day it can park there without charge. This is the same gate where visiting groups will exit the centre at the end of the day.

By public transport
The local rail services run from Liverpool/Bootle on the Merseyrail Northern Line every 15 minutes during the day. Trains from Wigan and Manchester are less frequent - please check published timetables. The Eco Centre is approximately a 15-minute walk from the train station. Booked groups can use the Park and Ride bus from Lord Street (bus stops marked PR1) to get to the Eco Centre.
